NCI-Roberts Construction celebrates groundbreaking for new home of Good News Lutheran Church in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin

Good News Lutheran Church’s groundbreaking, originally planned to be held at the building site, was moved indoors due to frigid winter weather. The ceremony was held January 2 at the Innovation Center in Mount Horeb, where the church currently rents worship space. The event was captured on live video and featured in local media, including WKOW.

Good News Lutheran Church has grown significantly since its founding in 2013, and the new church building will be its first permanent location. “We are honored to be part of creating a new home for Good News Lutheran Church that will serve them well into the future,” said Jeff Grundahl, owner of NCI-Roberts Construction and parent company, JG Development.

The new church building will be constructed on a plot of land located at Highway 18 and Brandywein Trail in Mount Horeb. NCI-Roberts Construction will build a 9,500 square foot church that will have a 200+ seat worship space, a music and choir area, a central gathering area, a serving kitchen, a library, offices and classrooms. The site will also include ample parking and athletic fields for the church’s popular Good News Soccer Camp, as well as room for future expansion. Construction is expected to be completed in 2022.
