Heartland Church dedicates future expansion as NCI-Roberts Construction begins work
To celebrate the beginning of its church expansion, Heartland Church in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, dedicated its new space during worship services on Saturday and Sunday, March 9 and 10. Congregation members wrote blessings and bible verses on a banner that will remain in a prominent place throughout the NCI-Roberts Construction renovation.
A vibrant, non-denominational church, Heartland has grown steadily over the last 15 years, reaching maximum capacity for its existing space along a Highway 151 frontage road near I-90. The church explored several options for expansion, including relocating. After talking with the tenants that occupy the other half of their building and discovering they were willing and able to move, the decision was made to purchase the property next door for parking, and to expand the church into the remainder of the building.
dedication of new space
Heartland Church selected local design-build firm NCI-Roberts Construction for the interior and exterior church renovation. The project includes remodeling the existing 10,000 square foot space and the additional 26,000 square foot space. The expansion will provide the church with a junior worship space that seats 226 people, a larger worship space that seats nearly 600 people, a lobby, bathroom core, and increased children’s, office and support space. Other project features include building facade improvements, construction of a vestibule, new landscaping, and the development of an adjacent lot to accommodate additional parking.
