NCI-Roberts Construction remodeled approximately 10,000 square feet of space to create a second Thrift Store on Madison’s east side for repeat client Dane County Humane Society. The store has retail sales space with changing rooms, an office and a breakroom, stock and storage rooms, bathrooms, and a viewing room to house animals that are available for adoption. Work included electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall and paint, flooring, cabinets and countertops, and new doors.
Dane County Humane Society Thrift Stores generate revenue to support DCHS’s mission: “Helping People Help Animals.” This second location provides an additional stream of revenue and increased visibility for DCHS and its mission in the community, as well as another opportunity for people to interact with pets available for adoption.
