Faith Community Church has expanded service to its congregation and the wider community many times through building projects in partnership with NCI-Roberts Construction.
When Faith had outgrown its building near I-90, NCI-Roberts built an 8,000 square foot worship space addition designed with a focus on function and matching existing materials and finishes. The expansion included a 650-seat sanctuary with a nursing room. Other improvements included a new media center and video production room, lighting and an audio/visual system. Congregation members volunteered labor to add landscaping.
When Faith partnered with Feed Your Soul to start serving free meals to the Janesville community, NCI-Roberts converted the original sanctuary into a commercial kitchen with a pantry. Updates included electrical, HVAC and plumbing; drywall, insulation, paint and flooring; and installation of a kitchen hood, doors and equipment. These improvements allow Feed Your Soul to prepare, serve and distribute 350+ meals every week with room to expand. An entrance was also modified into a comfortable ministry room.
At the church’s groundbreaking celebration for the kitchen project, Pastor Williams observed congregation members gathered on the lawn and was inspired to create an outdoor courtyard that would allow people to relax and enjoy the space. Exterior improvements included landscaping, a sun shade, storm sewer work, sprinklers, concrete sidewalks, asphalt and lighting. NCI-Roberts supported a ribbon-cutting event when the project was complete.
These improvements have allowed Faith Community Church to grow and better serve its congregation as well as the Janesville community.
